WHO BUT GOD
The sky is blue
The grass is green
The sun a bright, bright yellow
The stars do sparkle in the night
The moon a luminescent light
The earth so round a perfect sphere
Who but God could have put them here

ELVIS, THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL
Oh Lord, you have taken him away.
Dear Lord, bless his soul this day, I pray.
Oh Lord, I know that you loved him so.
Dear Lord, I pray that you he did know.
Oh Lord, I pray you saved him for he had soul.
Dear Lord, for he was " The King of ROCK and ROLL"

IN MEMORY
OF ELVIS
Elvis was truly a king.
His golden voice still rings.
A year has passed since his daeth.
But he hasn't taken his last breath.
For his memory will still live on.
Just as the recording of his first song.
"My Happiness" was his start.
He'll live on in all our hearts.
Elvis' ledgend will never grow old.
For he was raised on Rock and Soul.

EVA, WAS HER NAME
A girl named Eva came to stay
From Spain a place very far away
She spoke several languages of which English was one
Her smile radiated from her face like that of the sun
Eva's' manner was very gentle and calm with a warm caring heart
Anyone who has been graced by her presence will know from the start
As you travel the earth and meet many people far and near
May you have a wonderful life and God bless you, Eva dear

JUST REMEMBER
Don't ever be afraid
Don't ever be discouraged
For the Lord will give you courage
And will help you to be brave
For He knows all that's to befall you
And He'll always be your guide
He will never, never fail you
If by His side you will abide

MY FRIEND
Did I ever tell you about my friend, Jesus Christ?
He makes life worth living both day and night
He greets me in the morning with His shining grace
And He tucks me in at bedtime with a smile on my face
For He is so wonderful and marvelous for He is King
And someday I'll meet Him for He washes away my sin
Yes, Jesus is my Lord and Savior and my friend
I'll surely stand before Him when this life draws to an end

LOVE
My love for you goes deeper than the deepest depths of the sea.
No one can fathom its depths for no one can fathom how deep it goes.
It reaches higher than the clouds up in the sky.
And is wider than the East is from the West and on into infinity.
There is no way to measure love because it cannot be contained.
It knows no bounds but can scale any wall no matter how high it may be.
It has the capacity to forgive and to forgive again.
It will come alive when nurtured by the caring of another,
like a gentle flower opening for the first time in the spring.
If it has the proper elements then it can flourish into
the most beautiful thing that any eye can behold.
Love goes beyond any thought or emotion for it touches the very soul of man.
It cannot be explained by mortal man even though he may make an attempt to do
so.
Because he will never in his limited knowledge be able to comprehend the
thoughts and mind and heart of God.
For God is love and who can explain God, but God himself.
Oh, to know God, would be to know love.
I believe that we (mortal man) have only touched the tip of the iceberg.
For God's love would be contained in so many volumes that man could not be able
to take them in, in a life time of reading.
So we must settle for, in our limited ways to know God for a moment and thereby
learn to love in his infinite ways.
So how deep is that love that we know so little about?
And how high can it reach? And how wide is infinity anyway?
If God is love, then do I love at all???

OH DEATH, WHERE IS THY STING?
If I should die and leave you
Do not mourn my passing on
For I go from whence I came
If you must cry, then weep with tears of joy
For now I know no more pain or sorrow
I do not fear for my tomorrows
My feelings of loneliness are gone
I
have in reality finally come home
I shall await upon that distant shore
Till again I shall see your face
And be with you once more

WHERE IS HE?
Mary cried, as she looked into the tomb
Mary sighed, as she was filled with gloom
Where have they taken him, my dear sweet Lord?
How could they do such a thing to the one I adored?
"What shall I do?" She cried
"Where shall I go?" She sighed
These were her words as she left that place
Which now had become just and empty space
As she went on her way with despair in her eyes
She cried out, "Why did he have to die?"
Before her stood a man who looked like any other
Why, it could be the gardener or someones brother
She lifted her head towards the heavenly skies
And looked into the face of one whom she didn't recogonize
He spoke to her and called her by name
Who was this man who seemed so strange?
She looked deep into his eyes, hers racked with pain
Why of course, it's you, Jesus, you've come back again!
He said to her, "Mary, don't be afraid, it's only me.
Then she knew it was he whom she'd come to see
Mary reached out her hand to touch her dear Master
But he told her she should not until after
I must go to the Father and then I'll return
Go tell my disciples for I know their hearts yearn
To be with me always by my side
But it's with my father I must abide
He knows the desires of alll their hearts
So the Holy Spirit he will impart
He will comfort them in my absence
For he and I and the Father are one in essence
So Mary, please, no more grieving dear
For through the Spirit I'll always be near
Remember, my sheep will know my voice
So rise up, be glad and rejoice

KITTY
There once was a dog named, "Kitty"
He grew up in the country not the city
He loved to bark and especially to howl
Like most male dogs he loved to prowl
Yes, Kitty was a lovable poochie
He had a friend who knew the Hoochie-poochie
They'd roam the town just at dusk
What a time they'd have and come home on the bus
What a pair, you'd ever find
You could make a bet of one thin dime
That every time these two got together
They'd make it home no matter what the weather
They stayed friends for many years
Had lots of laughs and a few tears
All their lives they frolicked and played
What a great pair, till the end of their days

SARAH LOUISE
Sarah Louise, we loved you so
Even though we didn't know
You'd only be here for a short while
Thoughts of you still bring a smile
We know that you are happiest
Being in heaven ever so blessed
You brought us joy even though we didn't meet
And thoughts of you are ever so sweet
It saddened our hearts to see you go
But God's plan he had to show
God had his reasons for taking you away
There are lessons we must learn each day
You taught us that God must come first
That is why you left us here on earth
One day we will get to meet you, Sarah, dear
We'll reach out and touch you and hold you so near
You were a gift from God you see
A part of us you'll always be
The joy you brought cannot be measured
It's in our hearts forever treasured
Just think of all the relatives you'll meet
While sitting there at Jesus' feet
There's our Aunt Jo and Gramma Alma Louise
And many others who we know will be pleased
Why there's your Aunt Linda Rae and Grampa Frank
Oh, dear God, we really do give thanks
For giving us, Sarah, a mere child
To help us become more meek and mild
The daughter you gave us will always be dear
For she showed us your love ever so clear
Sarah Louise, was her name
She was here for a moment just the same

IS THIS THE FINAL HOUR?
Do you see the time?
It's drawing very close
When Christ will return
With His angelic host
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
For your redemption draws nigh
He'll come so quickly
In the twinkling of an eye
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
Be ready, waiting, even in the night
Keep your lamp lights burning
With the oil of His delight
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
The fields are growing snowy white
The great harvest is ready
Christ's return is in sight
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time
Christ is waiting at the door
He's knocking and knocking
Doesn't anyone care any more?
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "the Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
Your salvation is at hand
So open your heart's door
Let Him in, take a stand
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
The earth is tremblin and quaken
For the end is at hand
And all things will be shaken
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
It is the time of the end
Have faith in His coming
Do not waver or bend
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
The days are growing more evil
Soon God will return
To deliver His people
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
The last trumpet will sound
There'll be a great shout
Every knee shall bow down
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door
Do you see the time?
It's almost midnight
Soon Christ shall appear
In all His glory and might
It will be a time
Such as never was before
For "The Ancient of Days"
Will soon close the final door

THE CALLING
A prophet's call is not one of gain
It is by God that he is ordained
His job is not one of glory and praise
And he must speak the truth all his days
No matter what the cost, the ridicule or the shame
He is willing to lay down his life and not seek fame
For God gave the calling to only a few
Because he knew their hearts had to be true
There are many that say they have received the call
But their lives show they haven't given their all
These true men of God have great pain to bear
They see all the wrong, the world in despair
Their hearts cry aloud, there's anguish in their voice
God's judgment is coming, you'd better make a choice
They ask the question, so who will it be?
The choice is either God or self, you see.
-Cheryle (Griggs) Bayard
JESUS WAS HIS NAME
There once was a man known for his great love
God, the Father had sent him from heaven above
He lived his life here on earth, like you and I
He knew his purpose in life was to die
Yes, he died a death unlike any other
A death no one understood not even his mother
But, his love was so great that he gave up his life
So that we might have peace, not a life full of strife
I'm sure that you've heard his name mentioned before
And he's knocking and waiting for you to open the door
He''ll keep knocking and waiting for that day to come
When you'll open that door to become one with his son
Because he loves you so, he'll never ever cease
He wants you to love him and rest in his peace
