"I've performed in local clubs and for civic groups, schools and private gatherings.  Most of my music is my own, developed over 36 years of bilingual performance.  Having performed with Pete Seeger on several occasions is certainly a highlight for me.   After sending him a tape of my work, he telephoned me and invited me to bring some food and my guitar to the Sloop Club in Beacon, NY on the beautiful Hudson River.  After a great pot luck dinner, we sang in the round for two hours.  I felt like a little boyin the presence of this great man.   He likes my family folk music, and has been kind with advice and encouragement.   I cut my teeth on his style of music in the 60's."

"We had attended Midnight Mass at Saint Columba Church in Hopewell Junction (upstate NY).  After the mass, children gathered around a lit birthday cake and sang the traditional Happy Birthday song for Baby Jesus.  I was inspired by the poignancy and unique lift of those innocent children's voices.  I recorded it three years ago, performed by my two youngest children, Anna and Sara,  who were then five and four years old.  Their recording was submitted in the competition - and I got honorable mention!"
