Geri Rizzo is a free lance performing
artist who plays Bach to Rock!
A conservatory trained flutist (New England Conservatory of
Music) she studied with such great flutists as: Claude Monteux, Jim Walker,
James Pappoutsakis, Frances Blaisdell and later, Gary Schocker. She
began playing flute 30 years ago after a 15 year respite, proving that
"you're never too old to start over."
A native of the Hudson Valley, NY, Geri moved to South Jersey and soon was
playing jazz in most of the Atlantic City Casinos. She assisted administratively as well as performing in the local Jazz Vespers
scene. She has performed in the Tri-State Symphony (NY); the Hudson
Valley Wind Ensemble (NY); the Ocean City Pops, NJ/sub; The Bay Atlantic
Symphony NJ/sub and has now been performing with the Atlantic Pops for ten
years. In addition, Geri performed in Washington DC at the Peruvian
Embassy with Grammy Award winning world folk band "Inca Son" and is on
call on a contractual basis.
Geri is the Founder and Director of "Flutes for Peace", a flute ensemble
that promotes peace and well being through music playing various
repertoire for shut-ins, benefits, private and public events. See:

Violinist Don Allen
a singer she has performed Gilbert &
Sullivan (NY) at the Bardavon in
Poughkeepsie, NY; as MC and singer in
the NY Catskills; and in the Cape Shore
Chorale and various church choirs.
She is now a member of The NJ Cameo Club, a group of singers who perform
for shut-ins, an offshoot of the NJ Ms. Sr. America Pageant. Geri
also dabbles with graphic arts and is a background actor in such
productions as "Law and Order", "Sex and the City", "Bruised" and local
