A SPORTING LIFE - LYNN BOGUE HUNT |
|
|
Voted "The
Most Worthwhile books of 2003" |

|
The
paintings of Lynn Bogue Hunt depict a golden age of American sport fishing
and hunting. After a series of covers in 1919 for Sports
Afield, Hunt's work appeared on the cover of Field & Stream at
least once every year from 1924 through 1947. By 1951, he had
created roughly 106 covers for Field and Stream magazine, more than
any other artist. Hunt
painted it all: ducks, sailfish, upland birds, bears. If you or your
children are interested in outdoor art and painting, or you want to own a
collection of Field and Stream history, this is a must-have book.
