SHORT BIO
A graduate of the
prestigious
Berklee
College of Music
in Boston, Massachusetts, Robin Van Duzee has been in demand
as a jazz soloist, music director, arranger and band member
for over twenty years. He has played in clubs
and concerts performing his own compositions in the tristate
area as well as acting as Musical Director of the bands with
whom he performed.
ATLANTIC CITY CASINOS: After moving to Atlantic
City, Robin was a frequent performer in the Atlantic City
casinos where he played with many groups including
saxophonist/singer Steve Cain 1992-1995. In 1995-96,
most of the casino lounges were turned into slot machines,
and Robin turned to the jazz festivals (see below). However,
his own duo continued to perform at the Showboat Hotel and
Casino from 2001 - 2006.
JAZZ FESTIVALS: Robin has also frequently
performed at the Cape May Jazz Festival with his trio
hosting jam sessions from 1995-2000. 1996 to 1998 saw
his band backing the famous singer/poet Oscar Brown Jr.
More recently Robin has performed his own compositions at
the
Somers
Point Jazz Fest,
Cape May Jazz Festival
and
Jazz Vespers, Atlantic City.
In addition, he is keyboardist for the Eddie Morgan Quartet
and the Howard Isaacson Band, both very popular in South
Jersey.
Robin is available for weddings, cocktail hours, private
parties and events in the South Jersey area.
