For
the first time in many years, John Lehner flute headjoints (Flutemakers
of Australia) are again available in the US through Tanzer
Music. Available in two distinctive styles, Omega and
Traditional, and based on a medium high wall, these
meticulously handcrafted headjoints give a powerful lower
octave and enable the player to use a wide variety of colour
and shading to achieve a fuller upper register or veiled
pianissimo.
The Traditional style consists of a dense stamped lip plate
and precision cast riser, while the Omega features a
one-piece embouchure and lip plate. All Lehner headjoints
are hand engraved. Lip plates can also be engraved, with
several attractive designs to choose from, and are available
in either a standard, slightly raised, or fully raised
configuration.
Tubing is available in either 0.014" or 0.016" 925 Sterling
silver, or 0.014" 9, 14, or 18K white, yellow, or rose gold.
Platinum is on request. Embouchure wall is 925 Sterling
silver, or 9, 14, or 18K white, yellow or rose gold.
Platinum Lip Plate is available, by request, on all tubing.
