THE POETRY OF GERI RIZZO

LINES (or:  "Cocaine")

White and cold

you take me now

You think your cool,

I'll make you foul

Put those lines

upon your face

Make your life

an utter waste.

Numb your veins

And make you talk

Make your legs

Refuse to walk.

Your eyes refuse

The light to see

Your soul cries out

For clemency.

By night you groove

By day you move

Until there's nothing

Left to prove.
