THE POETRY OF GERI RIZZO

Meandering

We wander through the maze of life

Blind to all there is to see

Lapping up the surface dirt

Sinking into obscurity...

Delving never to find a creed.

We are but insects scurrying beneath the sun,

That giant flashlight being held by Infinity.

What amount of Future Shock

can spur our senses

to their full intensities and

quench them with Fulfillment?

Why do we wait

     for Tomorrow

instead of

waiting not Today?

What will it take

for our hearts to

Spill their contents without

Fear of Rejection?

What will it take for us

to Listen,

without flashing

signs.. of.. Dejection?

SCOFF THOSE WHO SCORN

YOUR LOVE OF BEING!

For it is THEY, who are not

SEEING.
